Bristol is a haven for vegetarian and vegan food, and Beets ‘N Roots is a prime example of why.
I caught up with my friend Claudia last week, who introduced me to the app Wriggle. This allows you to access last minute offers and deals on a variety of different restaurants, bars and cafes. You pay via the app, and present your code at the venue of choice. Unfortunately, the app only covers Bristol, Brighton and Cardiff but it’s a great idea and I like how it covers so many local businesses.
Beet N’ Roots can be found at the bottom of Cotham Hill, and the combination of colourful walls, bright cushions and lots of greenery makes it an ideal lunch spot.
The selection of food was fresh and colourful. Through the app, we were able to get a juice and Buddha Bowl for £6.50, which was fantastic value. We tried the orange, carrot and ginger juice and a standard buddha bowl. The juice was a generous size and so refreshing- you felt like pure health when drinking it!
The buddha bowl contained a host of fresh and summery flavours, with the cabbage sauerkraut being my favourite- each element was so tasty and it was the perfect size for lunch.
Beets ‘n Roots is the perfect place to enjoy a summer brunch, and I hope to return to try the rest of the menu!
